Thanks to luvindisneyworld, we had a wonderful 6 night stay at BCV. We had never stayed there, and probably would never have stayed there, had we not rented points from luvindisneyworld.

Just wanted to say "Thanks" to her and this board and report back that we had a wonderful experience~

A couple of months ago I contacted Webmasterdoc about have a hall of fame for renters and rentees. If someone renting points had a positive experience,post it. If a member had a positive experience renting to someone, also post it. I think it would give another degree of comfort to those sending checks to someone thousands of miles away and not knowing them. He said he would discuss this with the other webmasters. Hopefully it will happen. In leau of that what you have done will have to do. Nice touch. Rich

What a great idea!! I know before I rented points from someone I had a lot of anxiety about the transaction. I solicited the advice of others and received a lot of pm's from people about their personal experience. That was the feedback I needed to go through with renting. I know there's been a lot of discussion (debate?) recently about the whole process of renting out DVC points, but for the most part I believe it's a great way for a DVC'er to get something for points he/she may lose by not using them and someone like me to enjoy a home-away-from-home resort that otherwise may not be available through CRO. We're anticipating doing this again next summer and I'm eagerly awaiting for July to come so I can get next year's vacation locked in. I'm hoping that by next year we'll be ready to be become one of you - DVC owners!! Lord knows we've already spent the equivalent of the cost of purchasing 200 points in all of our previous trips!!

That's a great idea about the hall of fame renters, buyers.

I rented points from Cindy72 and the transaction went very well, reservation was waiting for us when we checked in just like promised. It was a good experience.
