HI all...me again :wave2:

For our trip to Saratoga Springs in November we've pretty much decided to ask for / request a room in the CP area of the resort so that we are near to DTD.

However do all the rooms at CP over look the lake towards DTD or do some look out over the CP parking area. (I really dont want to be looking at cars for 2 weeks  although hubbie might enjoy it ;) )

Also as a back up plan does any one have any first hand experience of the last building in the paddock area (the one closest to CP) as an alternative.

Sorry for my ramblings..but this may be the last of our WDW trips for a while and i'd like it to be memorable :)

Thanks

No they don't all look over the DTD Lake at CP, however they do all look over one of the lovely lakes. I don't remember any of them looking onto the car parking areas. to be honest, if you are fit you could walk from any of the CP areas to DTD, we were at the furthest away part, looking over to DTD but near the DVC Centre and it would have been to much say for my parents to walk.

there is a boat that goes back and forward, leaves from just behind the main building. :thumbsup2

also unsure when the last part of the resort exactly opens if you will be able to walk say to the West side of DTD is it looks pretty close.

Not all CP rooms overlook DTD, but I don't know if any overlook the parking lot!

We've only stayed in CP when at SSR and, when we've had rooms without a DTD view (twice in our three visits), we've had one overlooking an area of garden and one with a view into some tall trees on the walkway to DTD. On the one occasion we had a DTD view, it was a wonderful surprise as the CM at check-in told us it wouldn't have a view!

No rooms have a poor view over car parks - all are facing gardens, ponds or DTD.We stayed at CP first time and cannot remember last time, the one near the road and the fire station, but even that overlooked a small lake where the herons etc gathered most days. Pure beauty and still only 5 monutes walk to the main pool/room or the ferry over to DTD.

know where you were simon and have to agree it was a lovely view I wouldn't be disappointed if we ended up there in fact there is some lovely mini lakes at SSR to look on to

Hi Helena

We're going to request a CP DTD view, to be near to get over to DTD more than anything.

We Stayed in this exact building in December, (We had also asked for Congress Park, but since we flew in late from California, it was not avaliable)
They gave us the closest paddock building to CP and it was great. We used the CP bus stop, and walked to DTD several times. It was a very peaceful location, with less foot traffic than CP. I would recommend it.
