Another Republican supports Obama

Hmmmm, never heard of him. Does he have a website like these Hillary voters for McCain?

Well, you get the idea. The reason the MSM keeps having these huge stories about the a handful of former Republicans supporting Obama (including this ex-Senator from Maryland that no one has ever heard of) is because THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of democrats are crossing over to vote for McCain (they're democrats, apparently, not socialists), and it scares the heck out of the Obama press. These little "another Republican for Obama" stories are classic propaganda — show them 2 examples, and they'll think it's widespread. Sorry, no sale. I've been following the PUMAs and other democrats for McCain for too long.

Now just stop it, people. You all know that endorsements don't mean anything. Polls mean absolutely nothing either.

It is sooo much better to be the guy with very few endorsements who is also tanking in the polls.

Those thousands ain't gonna help much as compared to the MILIIONS and MILLIONS that vote for Obama.

Nice endorsement.

It does not quite pack the MAJOR punch of Colin Powell's, but nonetheless:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 .

McCain is doin' just fine. ;)

He's exactly right.....it's as simple as Obama presented a better case. He brings fresh ideas and a new energy that we haven't seen on the political front in years. McCain brings the same old tired ideas that haven't exactly worked out so well in the last eight years.

Personally, I hope that Obama positively crushes McCain, if only to send a big message to the Republican Party that they will lose Moderate Republicans like myself in pandering to the christian fundamentalist element within the base.

I worked for Senator Mathias for 14 years and resigned to have my daughter. He is a moderate Republican and sat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. His endorsement & Colin Powell's endorsement, re-enforce to me that my decision to support Obama is the right one.

Actually, the credible polls are showing the race is tightening...

I feel good about it too. Colin Powell's endorsement really captured exactly how I feel.

I'll tell you what, my DH and I just got back from a great trip to Italy. We were on our own (meaning not with a tour group), but we did arrange for some guided day tours where we met some wonderful people from all over the world. We ended up great conversations over meals or during long train rides with people from Canada, the U.K., Italy, Australia, Yugoslavia and France.

We could not get over how interested every single group was in our election! It was *the* topic of converation. I mean, it was really eye-opening to see how closely the world is watching this election....and guess which candidate every group of people we met was pulling for.....big time......you guessed it....Obama. You had to hear what they all thought of Sarah Palin.....can you say....HORRIFIED! Seriously, people around the world are very concerned.

Now, many conservatives will say that "this is a reason to vote for McCain".....as if Europe and the rest of the world "are a bunch of socialists anyway!" All of that talk is insanity to me, but I hear it within my own family. My own in-laws turned down a couple of opportunities to travel to France over the past eight years because a big loudmouth on Fox TV told them to Ban the French. Now they're 78 years old....and probably will never see that beautiful country. So who won that battle? It's just insanity.

Anyway....I think it's time for a big change....and hopefully Obama will live up to the huge expectations that are in front of him....

Don't forget my favorite, they were never REAL Republicans.:rotfl:

Have any prominent Dems endorsed McCain?
The only Democrat I recognize by name that has endorsed McCain/Palin was prospective Republican VP candidate Joe Lieberman. Generally, as much as Democrats differ from each other on many issues, McCain/Palin is such an inadequate choice that supporting them is not a major consideration for most.
