Another renting points question

If I wanted to rent points in October 2007, would I be better trying to arrange it well in advance of the booking date (November 06 presumably) or leaving it until a later date.
I'm looking at around 96pts

It would depend where you wanted to stay and what the home resort was of the person you were renting from.

DVC members can book their home resort at 11 months and other DVC resorts at 7 months.

So if you were wanting to stay at the Boardwalk for example, you could book from someone with BWV as their home resort in Nov 06, but if they had a different home resort you could book in Mar 07.

I'm hoping to get BWV or BCV from 21 - 25 October next year in a 1 bedroom, Its during F+W festival so I guess there will be a high demand for Epcot Resorts, so I want to be organised to book as soon as I can.

I guess I'm asking If I should try and "hook up" with a renter before that time.
