Another Rental vs. Bring your stroller question

We are staying at Pop and relying on Disney Transportation.


You guys had me convinced to bring my own double for the parking lots and such if they are sleeping. But my worry is... if my kids do fall asleep (age 2 and 3) by 3 year old will NOT walk if he is woken up. So how in the world am I going to get 70 pounds of kids and the double stroller onto the bus. I cannot carry both kids. DH will have to deal with the stroller. I can see a melt down happening already. Advice?

have you considered 2 lt wt singles instead of a double--i think the volos have carry straps so you each could probably handle one and a kid. is your 2yo on the light side? maybe a carrier like an ergo? my 3yo still loves it but at 31lbs he's too heavy for me for too long though I think the wt limit is 45lbs. can you bring grandma, lol!!!!! Seriously, we are lost w/o her with one child
On our last trip my son turned 3 and he wanted to be carried so much, it was a royal pain! He LOVED Pop though, talks about it EVERY DAY, you will have a great time!!!!

Have you considered 2 lightweight single strollers with connectors? The connectors make them extremely versitile, and are easy to use. You could each take a child, or you could connect the strollers together. You can get them at Babies R Us, or other kids stores. I found them easy to use, lightweight, and invaluable! If my kids still rode in strollers, I'd pair the connectors with a stroller like a Combi, that has an attached shoulder strap. Good luck!

I'd get a baby carrier. That way if necessary, your dh can carry one child in a baby carrier and the stroller.
