Another Rental Car question

Sorry - just thought I'd see if anyone had some advice for us. We definately want to rent a car while at Disney. I get the mousesavers newsletter & see all of these rental car discount codes. I've fiddle with some of them but you can't use most of them until the actual month of travel. Is it crazy to wait that close to our departure to make car reservations? I'm afraid there won't be anything available if we wait that long. We've also check Priceline but you have no idea what you're getting. You pick a price & if they choose to accept it they pick for you. That makes me a little leary - advise, suggestions.............HELP!!!!!!!!!! This OCD mom needs a little guidance please!!!

I've found in the past to book now, trying Alamo first with the Walmart code for the free additional driver. Once it starts to get closer, keep pricing it out
and just cancel and rebook. They don't charge your credit card until you pick up the car. You can use the Walmart code plus the $20.00 internet coupon as well. Last year I canceled and booked a car with a different company the day we were leaving for the best price.
I've used Hotwire before but not Priceline. I wouldn't do it again. Plans change and your reservations do not.

I booked with Simply Wheelz this last time . I worked great. I didn't need a code and they beat everyones codes. The thing is you have to watch the prices. They move alot. The lowest they will go is $75 for the week on subcompact. I have read other people who say they are the most expensive. You just have to watch the prices. I think it get to be the lowest about 3 weeks before you travel. Good luck!
