another reason i love owning

DH & i went to one of my closest friend's college graduation/birthday party yesterday.
i had painted a pic of tink (per her request, my first experience in painting ~ took a mere eight months ).
a beautiful, huge cindy pillow from the first WDW resort she ever stayed in, the grand floridian (with the words from "a dream is a wish your heart makes" ).
and the one that had her teary-eyed & (literally) trembling for most of the night: 4 nights in a BWV studio, BW view in sept.
for a few years, she has sighed over my cel pics of "the view", told ppl her favorite place in WDW would be BWV w/BW view but has accepted it as something she'll prob never have (broke college student)...

it feels so good to make a "dream come true" ~ just another reason i love my DVC

ty, i think i got as much happiness out of giving the present as she did receiving it
but you can get BW view b/c you own DVC (can only be booked with points, not cash). i try to give gifts that the "special" person can't or would never consider getting for themselves....so, you prob would never buy yourself a bentley or vacation home in hawaii, right? hmmmmm

btw, dh is more than a bit worried what she (or i) might do to "top" this gift
