Another question

What things should we bring as opposed to buying for the kids to play with at the beach? Also we have our own scuba equipment should we bring our own masks and snokels and fins or just rent them. We drive to Disney so it isn't an issue with trying to get them into the luggage.

Hi Darren,
I think the gear is $25 a pop to rent, so you might as well save your money and bring equipment you know you'll be comfortable with. I just ordered a set today for $30.

You didn't say how old your children are. My kids love the beach, but since we live on the coast, it's nothing new to them and I expect they'll be spending alot of time at Scuttles Cove (their own choice!).

Oh sorry our kids are going to be 4, 5, and 10 on the cruise and we will also have my sister in laws kids with us who will be 8 and 11. There will be 11 people in total going. Thanks for the info we all use Dacor dive gear and I would much rather use our own stuff just wasn't to sure if you could.

As other poster said it's about $25 per person and we found on our first DCL cruise that the equipment wasn't very good. We had a lot of trouble with the masks leaking. After that experience, we decided to purchase our own equipment. However, Disney requires you to wear a vest and they will provide that free. Our kids are a bit older so we didn't bring sand toys. However, I purchased a couple of inexpensive tubes (lime green) to bring. It was so easy to see where the kids were since the tubes you can rent are all the same - clear. HTH

We allready have tubes for them and we are set for scuba and snorkel gear even the kids have good equipment. We will probably just go to Wal mart and get some shovels and pails when we get to WDW for them to use on the beach. Easier than carting them with us. That way if we leave them there we are not to worried about it. Thanks again for the info it is greatly appreciated by this cruise rookie.
