What do you do with underwear and bras that no longer fit you? Giving away or donating clothes is easier, but what about the undies and bras?

I hang onto them like forever, in hopes that one day they will fit again. Silly I know, but I buy expensive bras.

I chuck 'em. I figure cloth is biodegradable.

There's not much else you can do with them. I can't imagine dusting with my old drawers or making a klassy C-cup quilt. :confused3

If they are in good shape I donate them to the thrift store. I had the manager of the store ( a Lutheran charity) tell me they DO need bras that are in good shape because they will have families come in with clothing vouchers and yes the women do need underwear! If they can't afford other clothes why do you think they wouldn't need help with underwear also?

You are right. That makes sense.

There is an internet market for them.

Just saying

I toss them. I never thought anyone would want to wear used undies, so I have never put them in with the donation pile. Particularly thongs - that I definitely can't imagine!

Bras, in they are in good shape, then I donate them.

Undies, I trash.

Same here ! Even if I was in the position of needing donated clothes I know I wouldn't want to wear used undies~

I'd rather go commando :thumbsup2

I could never picture buying used underwear or ever donating mine. I finally chucked a huge chunk of my old ones and bought new. Hanes and Fruit of the Loom both produce good quality underwear sold in packs of 3 to 6 for about 5$.

I'm small chested and don't use quality bras to begin with. The only reason I change bras is when my old favorite hits the bucket. I'd have no problems donating a bra that didn't quite fit right after one or two wears. But I'd personally buy new on that.

Socks I wear till they hit the bucket. I've never been good about turning them into rags. I have a huge stack of white washcloths used for cleaning and everything else.

I haven't been in that situation, but if my bras didn't fit anymore and they were still in good shape I'd donate them to my church. They support a home for homeless unwed mothers. The panties I would use as rags for cleaning and then throw them away.
