I am planning to buy our tickets via UT and upgrade them to seasonal passes when we get to Universal during the week of Thanksgiving (Ugh, I know. It's the only time that works for us, though).
Normally, I would buy a ticket for Nov 21, since that will be our first day in the park. We are buying 5 day tickets, so they would be valid until the 28, after we leave Orlando. The tickets are quite a bit cheaper if we buy them to begin on Nov 16, the week before we arrive. Those tickets would be valid only until the 23rd, the middle of our week there. But does it even matter since we are upgrading to APs? If we upgrade them right when we get there, then they are just good for the year, correct? I want to make sure I am not missing anything.
I am probably overthinking this. It is only about $11 a ticket but we have several to buy so it does start to add up. I would rather spend that money elsewhere if possible.
Or maybe it is a wash since they will upgrade from the price of the ticket on that start date?
