Does Pal Mickey stay quiet when you are in a show ... or riding COP or sitting in the Hall of Presidents? I don't want my pal to be annoying like a cell phone!

I assume the answer is "Yes, he is quiet" cause the signals that trigger him don't reach into the building ... but just checking. I am thinking about getting one this trip. Sooo cute! And easy to tuck in a bag to take home on a plane.

:teeth:

I don't know much about Pal Mickey, but I am guessing that there's an off switch.

Yeah during most attractions/shows he won't have anything to say...but even if he vibrates/giggles don't activate him (he may want to warn you about a show or a meet and greet or something). The only attraction I've heard him speak DURING was Peter Pan...right before you enter the children's bedroom he wants to tell you something...oh and he talks in haunted mansion too...but I THINK that's it.
I  Pal Mickey!

He has wiggled and giggled inside HoP, CoP, and Am Adventure.

As was said, you don't need to "activate" (squeeze) him if you don't want to, but that giggle can still be heard by others close to you.

Except on a couple of rides (HM and Peter Pan, in particular, as was said) the activation signal boxes are located, on purpose, inside the ride.

I love what he says inside HM.
The first time he did that I was very surprised.

Thanks all. Now I am even more excited about getting Pal Mickey. I didn't know he spoke in some of the rides. HM is my FAVORITE ride.

I hope to  PAL MICKEY SOON TOO!

My son said pal mickey spoke on peter pan.

he was quiet during the shows.

Plantlady - tell your son I thank him for the information. Did he enjoy Pal Mickey in the parks? :teeth:

Jonbil - well, Pals don't come cheap. I believe they are in the $65 range --

Ouch...wasn't expecting that one...I'm afraid if I buy him I won't use him as much as I want.

You can get the older versions a lot cheaper. I think I bought mine for $25 at one of those Disney outlet places. Try Ebay.

My two oldest sons, 7 and 9 LOVED pal mickey. My nine year old I think loved him the most, found no troubles carrying him around, and begged to be the one to carry him every day.

One day, as we entered Epcot, Pal Mickey started to hiccup, and I had left the spare batteries at the hotel, but my son still gladly carried him around. He was even careful and watched for rain so he could put him in a bag, and wouldn't play in any fountains to cool off, because Pal Mickey doesn't like fountains (I did offer to hold him).
