 O. k. Sorry - know this is asked way too much, but now it's ME who's asking! So please, help me out!

DH just informed me that he can no longer travel in June (meaning never...) due to work issues. So we quickly bumped a short trip planned this year up a few weeks. Anyway, now my WDW trip of June '05 has got to go somewhere!

I CAN and WILL take DD's (9 and 11 next year) out of school, but I would like to shorten it if possible. We could go the first week of May (driving) and they'd miss 5 days and return to school wiped out.

Our Spring Break is the week leading up to Easter next year (March 21-28). How busy do you think it would be if I pulled them early - say Thursday the 17th and we headed on down and returned home the Thursday before Easter. Do you think I would do o.k. crowd-wise? What was it like this year during the weekend and early week BEFORE Easter? Any info would be great - crowds are my main concern! Thanks!!!

The week before Easter-- is close the park to off site guests type of busy. Usually. So you are really looking at the possibility of large crowds. You will possibly have the first few days that may be moderate size crowds. If crowds and wait times are an issue, then I would go in May. Or try late February for a change. Great weather and great crowd levels.

Hi! I hate to tell you this, but we went the week you are talking about in March last year. We live in Georgia and most of our local schools (and surroung area schools') spring breaks are in April (or the VERY end of March). We thought we would miss the crowds by going the 2nd-3rd week in March and BOY WERE WE WRONG!

It was absolutely packed. We had to contend with the Florida spring breakers (spoke to a principal of an elementary school in MK one a.m. who said that their SB is ususally 3rd week of March). Many colleges and universities are also out during that week.

I would definitely go with the first of May (or even the very end of April) over the 3rd or 4th week in March. We are leaving in 12 days (arriving May 9th) so I'll let you know how our May experience goes.

Good Luck!!!!:)

This past March, most FL schools were out the week of March 22-26th. All our nieces and nephews were out that week even in private schools in FL. Our break was March 29th - April 2nd, we arrived at WDW on April 1st and stayed through the weekend. I think we hit it just right for crowds, after the FL schools, but before the big Easter week. We didn't have much trouble with crowds at all, MK was busy, but we were able to do it all in a couple of days with going first thing in the a.m. and using Fastpass. Normally, the two weeks that straddle Easter are huge crowds. The hours for all parks were being extended, but I read on these boards that wait times were very long and that MK closed to off-site visitors on several occasions. We were told at Pop Century that they were expecting near 100% occupancy for the week leading up to Easter. Easter falls in March in 2005, may be hard to judge how the crowds will be. I know that most Metro Atlanta schools have their breaks planned for April 4-8th next Spring.
