Hi again all-
first off... thanks for all your help, this board is an unbelivable resource for those planning a trip to disney.

Here's my situation: in a trip in 1999, we ran into some difficulties with our room, getting to the parks, etc... long story. This resulted in being offered 2 one-day "ultimate park hopper" passes. From what I remember, this would include park hopping, as well as any other "plus" option we would want to go to (water park, PI, DQ etc). Unfortunately, we were unable to use the passes on our vacation, so I held onto them. On the passes themselves, there is no expiration date, and I was told by the CM I should be able to use them whenever I'd like (no expiration).

So I tried it... last year we went and was told when trying to activate them at our hotel that the passes had in fact expired, and would not be accepted. I was told they would have only accepted them up to one year after issue (which again, had not been indicated on the ticket, or mentioned by the issuing CM). I'm not sure if I may have been talking to the wrong person when trying to activate them (maybe talking to someone at the actual park gate would've been better), but I retained the tickets until I could inquire further. That said, here are my questions:

1. Is there someone else I could talk to so that these passes can still be used, as i believe they should still be honored (gate CM, manager, or otherwise)?
2. Is there a way I can find this out before I actually get to the gate (like from home... we're working on a tight budget, and it might effect where we decide to stay).

I've actually spoken with 2 CMs on the phone about this issue, and they were both rather surprised the tix weren't accepted... they suggested trying again. What do you say??

thanks, as always!!

You cannot find out ahead of time. Take them to any Guest Relations location at the park or DTD. They will scan them and tell you whether they are still good. Personal observation is that they should still be good.

In the rare event that they tell you they are not, explain the reason you got them in the first place and ask if they can be replaced. (They can!) See a supervisor if you need to.

Remember to do this at Guest Relations, not at a Disney resort.
