Another Photopass Question...

Hello fellow DISers!

DH and I are anxiously awaiting our first trip to the world with our DS this coming May...

I've read a lot of information about PhotoPass and it sounds like something we'll definitely use - most of our pictures from previous trips were only of DH as I was the main photographer! Now maybe this time we can have some FAMILY shots! LOL

Anyway - I had a quick question about the PhotoPass website... I understand that you can view the pictures on the website up to 90 days (or something to that effect). My question is -- can you right-click on the pictures and "Save As" to your hard drive? Or do you only have an option to purchase them and NOT save them to your hard drive?

If you can't save them, then I think DH and I will probably opt to purchase the CD at the end of our vacation...

We just returned from Disney on Monday nite.
We've been viewing our PhotoPass pictures online, deciding which ones to purchase.

I just asked DH & he said you can't save the pictures, or that if it is possible, the picture would be way too small to do anything with...& horrible resolution.

The photos are online for 30 days.

I wished I'd purchased them in the parks.
They had a package of 3 5X7's (doesn't have to be the same picture) for $29.95.

Now that we're home...one 5X7 is $12.95.
They do have a special of 20% off in you spend $60.00.
But I'm sure there will be a shipping/handling charge too.

No you can't right click and save... it is disabled. The pics come out thumbnail size. I did find that if you email the pictures in the photopass account, the first one in the group can be saved and it is a normal size.... It drove me quite crazy when after the 1st time I tried it and was able to right click (only had one photo from that day at the park), I could not do it with the photos from another day. I finally realized the other day that I was able to save the first one in a group of 8 that were taken at EPCOT!!!!


Believe me I have tried everything - they are very very smart!!! LOL

The photos are there for 30 days, but I know two different groups of pics from Nov and Dec were extended.

I ordered my first photos from them and I was pleased. Saved a little with the January 20% discount when I spent over $60.

I never used to carry a photopass card with me, and now I have about 6, so I kept the latest one and put it with my APs and DDE, so now I can just keep using the same one (we are at the parks at least one day a week this time of year)
