There were no extra magic hours at the park today and the park did not open until 10:00 but even so we were up at 7:50 and ready to go out by 8:35.

First of all we stopped off to look at the car tyre, which didn’t appear to have gone down at all so we decided to leave it and see how it goes on the way home. We then went for a walk through Disney Village and around the lake taking photos along the way.

After an hour of wandering we went back to the room to pick up our sweatshirts and then made our way over to Walt Disney Studios where we had a quick look around the shops before they got busy. Our next stop was the Armageddon Special Effects. This was fine for us but the final explosion and flames left a couple of the very young children in there screaming. From Armageddon we went round to the Blockbuster Café to get a drink and then went over to the Art of Disney Animation, which took a little longer than we thought so instead of eating before the Moteurs Action show, which was due to start in 25 minutes, we decided to eat after.

Dad has seen the show twice in Orlando and didn’t want to see it again so we arranged to meet back at the Blockbuster Café at around 1:00 and I went into the show alone. They were having a bit of an off-day today and a couple of the stunts didn’t go to plan - first of all one of the cars that was supposed to be driving on two wheels almost hit the barrier and had to drop back onto four wheels and then at the part where the hero car jumps across two lorries the driver aborted the stunt before going up the ramp.

After the show I met Dad at the Blockbuster Café where we had a Pastrami and Mozzarella sandwich and a Coke each. After eating we went into Cinemagique and then found a spot for the Stars and Motor Cars parade. I made a newbie mistake here as I hadn’t realised that there was a stage show portion to this and so we were quite surprised to see the parade end after about four cars had gone past.

From there we went back to the hotel and stopped off at the Concierge desk to make a reservation for California Grill for 6:45 tomorrow (our last night). California Grill was actually being re-furbished but it had been re-located to the third floor. We then went back to the room to drop off our purchases and at 4:35 we decided to walk round to the Hotel New York for a drink.

We wandered round to the Hotel New York and went into the bar where Dad had a 1664 and I had a Carlsberg. Just after 6:00 we left the hotel and went to Billy Bob’s Country & Western Saloon where we made our way up to the third floor for the Tex Mex buffet. We started off with a plate of salad which I followed up with some chili, Fried chicken, pork sausage and fried potatoes and Dad had similar then we finished it off with pecan pie and chocolate mousse.

Suitably stuffed we made our way back to the Disneyland Hotel bar where the first round was a 1664 for Dad and a Mojito for me followed by a second 1664 and my usual Remy Martin We were back in the room by 9:30 and in bed by 10:10 ready for our last full day tomorrow.

Day 4

Great photos! You got some really good shots of the Stars and Cars parade - I couldn't see very well from my location - it is nice to see it properly! The DL Hotel is gorgeous!

Looks great!

Any tips on where to stand for Stars and Cars?

Just outside Cinemagique seemed to be the best place. There is a stage area there where the cars stop and perform a show. I didn't realise that at the time so once the last car had gone past us we walked off and by the time I realised there was something still going on and walked back the stage was surrounded.

If you time it right it is possible to stand in the middle of the road and the cars will split around you - if you look at my photo of the Donald and Daisy Duck car you'll see that car is closest to us and the car with Mushu is going the other side. There were people that were standing actually in between the two cars which would have been heading straight towards them. I don't think I've explained that very well but you'll see what I mean when you get there.

Like the look of your DLP music cd's David. I will need to have a look and see if any of these have new tracks on them :)

Another great day :goodvibes

I've got that Partners statue too ~ nearly bought it in DLP in 2006, then decided I would prefer to buy it from MK in WDW as that was our first Disney park, then when we got there I didn't like the circular base it was on  so had to wait until our next trip to DLP, then nearly had a heart attack as they appeared to be sold out :scared: luckily we found the last one. :faint: It's my favourite Disney souvenir.

Some great buys David. I especially like the Disneyland Paris magnet made up of character images - it's cute, and that Walt/Mickey statue is lovely. Made the same mistake with the Stars and Cars parade, completely missed the stage show bit.

Some more great pics David, giving a real impression of what the parks and surrounding areas are like.
To me the Tower of Terror doesn't look as imposing as it does at Hollywood Studios in Florida - was that the case for you or not??

I would agree with you Kenny, the Hollywood Tower Hotel kind of gets lost among the other buildings in the area and doesn't stand out at all. For one reason or another we didn't get around to going on the ride at DLP so I don't know if the inside has the same atmosphere as the one in DHS.

Another great day David :thumbsup2.Your pics are great,i do miss the Stars+Cars parade though that was at DHS-nice to see your pics from that :thumbsup2.The inside of the hotel looks lovely.
I love the partners statue.x.
