Another Orange Lake ????

First of all thanks to all who have posted info about Orange Lake. I am exchanging through RCI in mid-Oct. Among the travelors will be a 3 y.o. who will need a rest break from Disney mid-day and his 13 y.o. sister who will want to do something fun (most likely pool time) during his rest time so....River Island isn't available and if we wanted to pick a section where we might not have to drive, which one would it be? We will have a 2 br/2ba so think the dreaded clubhouse of the west village will not be an issue. TIA for any suggestions. I currently have one on hold for the east village until tomorrow pm but now am questioning if north (which I understand does not have jacuzzi tubs and smallish bathrooms) or west might be better.

Well, the North Village has Splash Lagoon, which is basically just your typical pool with water slide. They also hold movies in that area and I believe it also has an arcade. However, there are very few buildings in the North Village within walking distance to the pool area. I guess you could always try requesting one though. Sorry, I'm not sure about the rooms for the North Village.

East Village, while usually considered the most favored village (Probably my favorite) has barely any rooms near the resort pools. I know that there is a very small pool near one of the buildings; if you're lucky you'll have the entire pool to yourself, not too many people go there. Again, you'd probably have to request that building.

Not sure when your last visit was, but my family was there last August, and the West Village Clubhouse was very recently (within the last year or so) overhauled and is now completely unrecognizable. The pool near the clubhouse was also redone. This makes the West Village less dreaded, at least IMO. Again, not too many rooms near the pool area of West Village, but there are a few.

Personally I think that the bus service at Orange Lake is fairly decent, but I think it would be pretty hard to find an area of the resort within walking distance to a pool.

Not sure which one I would choose honestly, but I hope any of that information was helpful!
