Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone has used either Rabbi Robert Lefkowitz or Ronald Rosenzweig as their officiant? We are having a VERY hard time choosing. ;)
I am not Jewish, but my fiance is and he would love to have a rabbi perform the ceremony. I am not sure what to think of Rabbi Robert? Our other option is Ronald Rosenzweig. Anyone have any advice or experiences? Thanks!

Hi...I am using Rabbi Lefkowitz. He was the only Rabbi to choose from. I talked to him and he was nice but a little, um, Ill just say slow. I am sure he will be fine. I am jewish and my DF is not. BUt since, my family will be the ones at the wedding we thought it would be nice to have a rabbi. If nothing else, it will be an experience. I am hoping it will be fine!!! :confused3

We are using Ron Rosenzweig. We met with him in our planning trip in December and he seemed great. He gave us a copy of the standard service he does and it was just lovely. It was also really nice to see that he was happy to change stuff for us, and incorporate any ideas we had.

I will say, I was not wildly impressed by his organisational skills- it took us a few goes to fix up the meeting! But now we have paid our deposit he has been excellent, and I am really happy we chose him

We used Ron Rosenzweig, and we highly recommend him. DH's family is Jewish and my family is Christian, but neither one of us is religious. To be fair to both sides, we decided on Ron because we didn't want any kind of religion in the ceremony.

A lot of our guests commented on how much they liked his speech. He'll send it to you before you confirm him, so you can get an idea of what it will be like. I think your decision will basically come down to whether you want it to be a religious ceremony or not. GL!

now I am second guessing my descision of Lefkowitz...I wish I had known that there was another choice! I already gave him money too...hmmm.....:headache:

We are using Rabbi Leftkowitz...we met with him and he was great and very accomodating....we thought about using Ron Rosenzweig but were told he is more of a "Jew for Jesus" which DF prefers less than an actually Rabbi. But Rabbi Leftkowitz has been very nice

Thanks everyone. I am glad to hear that people have had positive experiences with both officiants. I guess it all comes down to whether or not we want a Rabbi. :)
