Another NY City question...

I saw the previous post about being there with littles ones, and there was tons of suggestions for things to do. I do have a little bit different of a question though... Dh & I are going on a bus trip, in December, to see the Christmas show at Radio City. We will have about 3 - 3 1/2 hours to walk around on our own. We have never been before, so we have no idea what to do, or how to get around. Can anyone suggest a few "touristy" things to do, in that immediate area of radio city, that we can walk and accomplish in that time frame? Thanks!

Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral are very close. If you feel like spending money, you can take a 10 block walk to the diamond district.

You will also not be far from Times Square.

The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is a two or three minute walk from Radio City.

You can walk up and down Fifth Avenue and look at the decorations, starting with Saks (there will be a line), which is right across the street from the tree.

You will have a great time, NYC at the holidays is great!!! You'll be near Rockefeller Center, so why not ice skate??? You can go to the Top of the Rock for a great view of the city. Try a horse drawn carriage ride around the park, or down 5th Ave. I agree with the others, check out the windows at Saks Fifth Ave, (go inside too, its beautiful) St. Pat's Cathedral, and you can walk or catch a cab to Macy's at Herald Square, again great windows and they used to have like a winter wonderland on one of the upper floors. I used to love going to the Plaza Hotel for a drink, but they are converting it to condos!! There's so much to do, you can't go wrong!
