Another newbie member/renting question

If we have a resale contract and we do not have enough points, can we rent points from another member to make up enough points for a reservation in our name? If so does the rental have to be the same home resort? TIA

If you rent a reservation from another member, they fully control the reservation until you check in. It sounds like you are thinking about getting another member to transfer points into your account. You can do a transfer (either in or out) once a year.

At 7 months all points are equal. But if you want to make a reservation at 11 months at your home resort, you'll need to have points transferred in that match your resort. Another member cannot transfer banked points, only current points. But you can bank those points once they hit your account. The points transferred into your account retain their home resort and use year.

Once again, you are either renting a reservation from a member (they make the reservation for whole days for you using their points). Or you are transferring points from a member. You cannot transfer banked points from one member to your account.

If you have banked points and you want to rent them out, you would make a reservation for someone, they pay you for the reservation and you put their name on it. Banked or current or borrowed.
