Another newbie??-How often does waitlist come through?

For our first trip "home" to VWL in June, we got the studio we wanted for all but one day right in the middle of our trip. For now, they had a one-bedroom for us, but also we're wait-listed for a studio for that night, so we hopefully won't have to move. If this is what happens, where we have to move, it's not the end of the world, but it would be soo much more convenient if we could stay put all week. What do you all think our chances are? Since we're new members, we've got no experience with how often wait-lists come through. Have we got a good chance or not?

You've got a pretty good chance. June is still awhile off. Last year we waitlist for 2 nights in a 1-bedroom at BWV only 2 months out from the trip. A couple weeks before we were to leave I got the confirmation for BWV.

We are new to DVC too. And the one experience I've had with waitlist is awesome!

Tried to get a studio for the weekend of, and the week after, Easter at H.H. the very morning the 7 month window opened up. There was nothing available. Went on an auto waitlist. At the end of December, 4 of our requested nights opened up.

Yesterday I was talking to MS about another trip and she told me our remaining point balance after booking (which was lower than what I showed it as being),... wasn't I ecstatic to find out that the remaining 2 HH nights had been autoconfirmed earlier in the week. Went from being nothing to getting all 6 nights and that is for a popular holiday in a resort with very few studios from what I understand!


So, woo-hoo we are going to HH for Easter!!!!!!!!!! And hopefully you'll meet with waitlist success too!
