What time do they typically start taking the family pictures for this? We have dinner reservations at 5:10 and was just wondering if by any chance we could get our picture taken before this time. Sorry if this has already been asked.

Never seen them taking pictures before opening of MVMCP, this year MVMCP offical starting time is 7:00 pm.I think this will be as soon as you can get family photo.:earsboy:

Since the party officially opens at 7:00pm, I don't think they take pictures or sell any of the party merchandise until 7:00pm. 2 years ago I stood in line outside the Emporium to get the party pin. They kept the doors closed from 6:00pm (regular park close) to 7:00pm.

There's a PARTY PIN!?!?????!?????!???

I need to know MORE.....Please;)

In years past, there was only one pin, for the year, for MVMCP. Last year they had a different pin for each day of MVMCP. They do know how to make money, Sam, LOL. :)

We will be going to MVMCP with a party of 10 Adults and 3 children. We are going to do MK that day also (we are only there for 3 days b/f our cruise so that seemed the best thing to do for us) - my question is, do they sell the t-shirts in MK that day or do we have to wait for the party to officially start? It would be great to all get the same t-shirts for our pic.

Too funny Dan... Looks like they will make another $10.50 off of me this year....;)

Two years ago we were having dinner @ the Castle and exited at 7 and had been told the pins would ONLY be available at Exhibition Hall so we worked our way up Main Street against the tidal wave of people who had just entered the party only to be told they were across the street at the Emporium. Wasted about 30~ minutes trying to get to that pin!!!!

That's for sure, Dan! LOL [Hi Dan!]

Just curious...I remember a few years ago a "complimentary" MVMCP pin was given out to MVMCP guests. Are they selling those pins now instead of including them in MVMCP admission price or are the pins you're speaking about a special pin trader's pin?

Thanks...

They still give out the party pins/buttons at the photo stations. The pins they sell are limited editions.

The limited editions are usually $8.50-$10.50 depending on the size. The party pins at the photo stations are free.

In ast years they were still setting up the photo areas at 7. They usually start around 7:15 to 7:30. Whenever they get set up. The shirts usually don't go onsale until it starts or just before

Last year, they didn't start taking photos until after 7:00. I think there a number of stations that take the photos. Try to get the pictures early as crowds tend to build as the night goes on.

Just an FYI, the free party pins are button type, a couple inches in diameter, not the closines.

What kind of photo do you get? Is it a poloroid? Does it have a chrismtas background?

No it's not an instant photo.

It's done by a local photographer I believe. He provides a festive background and there's a border around the photo with the name of the party and the year!

It comes within a couple weeks of your trip and you can order more!
