Hi everyone!

Does anyone know if you can book 4 rooms under the military 40% off discount. We are all family members.

Or does anyone know if you can use the military code for 40% off twice...or the code with the dining plan once and the quick service dining plan code instead another time...since they are different codes?

I have gotten myself in a pickle...my in-laws (7 people) want to go...and my family (5 people) wants to go, and I am going to make somebody unhappy. :(

Thanks,

Rebecca

As much as it may suck those others can pay full price or use whatever public offers are out there. I know when/if we travel with my parents it's rare they get to use our military discount and that's jsut the way it is and no reason to be upset.

Thanks TagsMissy!

I hope that they all understand, but I guess I can't control other people. :)

Maybe I should state the question a little differently. Does anyone know how many rooms you can book for one military ID??

Thanks so much!

I think I saw somewhere that you can book 3 rooms with the discount, but now I can't find it.

When my mom called to book her room, she asked this question. She was told that she could only book her room with the military ID of the active duty/retired ID. All rooms must have a sponsor military ID in them. Basically each rooms has to have either the retired/active person in it. My brother is also active duty so he called and was able to get his room.

I called to ask about rooms and what was available and I was told that if we decided to go with 2 rooms at a value someone with a ID had to be in each room, so I asked about our son, cause he's 16 and does have a ID they said it would be fine because he is under my husband??:confused3 I'm confused, guess it depends what CM you talk to. I would hate to get down there check in and them say sorry you can't do that. I think I'll call again to be sure.....

That is what I told my mom, call back and talk to someone else and she would probably receive a different answer. I think it such a new thing, that in the next couple weeks we will hear different ways to book. I think since the spouse or ID card holder can pick up the tickets, it probably will be anyone who is able to stay in that room.

If just having an ID card is o.k. then actually my family would qualify as my three children all have ID's since their father is in the military, but they are all under 18 so I was thinking they would not be able to have a room in their name? This could be interesting if that is the case.

I know last time we stayed at POP with 2 rooms, just regularly, they said there had to be a adult in each room as far as paperwork on the ressie, but the cm said then that what we do when we get up there is our business, we had the kids in one room, us in the other, but on the ressie it showed DH in one room, me in another, so I just don't see how it would work, besides us ourselves having a ID would be the qualifier in the other room???!! Phew hope I said that all right, I tend to ramble on.....:rolleyes1 ;)

Yes, that is always the way we do it too. We have 5 children so we always put dh on one and me on the other but when we get there, the girls have a room and the boys bunk with us. So yes, I agree, I do not understand how just having an id will do it for you? I do not really know! Unless, because the reservation shows the sponsor is in the other room?

Ok! I called Disney and booked for the week before Christmas!

I talked to the CM and her boss to confirm so that I wouldn't get in trouble when I arrived.

Each room must have someone on the reservation with a military ID. However, this includes spouses and children. So, we got 4 rooms since 4 of us have ID's even though only 2 of us are actually in the military. She said we could rearrange who was actually staying in the rooms anyway we wanted.

Thanks for all your help and the replies. I really appreciate it.
