Another meal plan question -- how limited are you?

Under Universal's Quickservice Dining Plan, I see that it says you can choose from "select" entrée, snack, and drink options; however, I can't find any menus that actually show which meals and snacks are included. For those who have used the Dining Plan, do you find that you are very restricted in your choices, or is it more like the highest priced one or two items are not included, but everything else is fair game?

Second question is regarding the Freestyle beverage option. I am going to do everything in my power to not need lockers on this trip (this was the single best piece of advice I received here in 2010). We will be using child swap on Forbidden Journey and Gringotts, so whoever has the tot can have the cup as well. However, will carrying around the cup be a time-sucking hindrance on other rides?

Very nearly every meal is on the dp. There are a few exceptions for very expensive meals. At places that offer a combo, the dining plan option is typically the combo meals. Rides that do not permit bags other than the ones you mentioned are all the coasters except the hippogriff one, plus MIB. If you have a cup consider bringing some sort of little bag to put it in to put at your feet while you’re on attractions.

Does that include Woody Woodpecker? I don't think we plan to go on any other coasters besides Woody and Hippogriff. Just looking at Hulk and Rip Ride Rockit makes me want to pee myself. The Mummy was absolutely the limit of my coaster tolerance and I don't need to do it again, so Hagrid's coaster is out as well (sorry Hagrid!)

I forgot about that coaster! I rarely walk past E.T. :) That’s even tamer than the hippogriff one so I would assume bags are fine.
