I am getting frustrated. I keep seeing where everyone is getting Le Cellier for 1 credit. I called today to book and the CM told me it was 2. Does anyone know for sure which it is? If it is 2 I will need to change my PS for another restaurant. thanks.

I was on mousesavers yesterday and looked at the pdf. file of all the restaurants and it was only 1. I hope it's only 1, otherwise I may have to change too!

:wave2: Same here. I called wdw dine after I saw conflicting reports of the credits it takes. I was told be a cast member who "checked the book" that it is considered a signature dining location and requires 2 credits. I am wondering if all the world showcase restaurants are converting to 2 credits? We will drop Le Cellier from our to do list if it takes 2 credits- there are so many other places to eat for 1 credit, and heck, if you're gonna use 2, might as well do the luau or hoop de doo!

More conflicting reports. I just now called dining and spoke to Millicent about Le Cellier. She checked and then rechecked and said that this restaurant is one table service credit. I sure hope that's right because I already have it booked and am planning our other meals on this being just one credit.

I booked Le Cellier yesterday and was told by the CM (without my even asking) that it would be one credit.

Do you think it matters whether you book lunch or dinner? I booked lunch. Maybe it's two credits for dinner.

There is definatly a difference between lunch and diner at Canada.
The lunch menu has cheaper options and more sandwiches...whereas the diner menu is pricer and is more entrees/
They are both great, however! I had a great steak sandwich for lunch...
No matter when you go......get the Chedar Cheese soup!!!!!

As I was reading this I was on hold with Disney, so I asked about the points, and she told me that it used to be 2...but they switched it to one point! It was her favorite restaurant, so she was sure about it!

were you making ps' for two people? if so, maybe the cm meant two credits for your entire party? if not, i'm not sure what to tell you... maybe call the restaurant directly?

We just ate there on the plan on June 19. It was only 1 credit per person. We used 2 credits for a party of 4. My DS (7) shared with me and my DD (9) ordered a kids chicken strips that we paid the $5 out of pocket. It was more than enough food for everyone. For apps, we got Canadian Cheese Assortment and Beef Kabob. For entree, we got Prime Rib and the nightly special (steak and lobster). For desert, we tried the desert sampler and a smores. For drinks, soda and ice tea. Total Bill including tip $144.12 for 2 TS credits.

Great place to eat. Hope you enjoy.

I originally started the other post about it being 1 or 2,and almost wished I had not ,cause I was even more confused.I called and was told ""1 CREDIT".So 1 or 2 ...2 or 1 I give up,I guess I'll know when I get there.I figure if you really want to eat there go for it(free dining anyway)I will still come out on top,the way I see it.

I booked our reservations for a party of 5 and was told we would have separate tables. I took them because we really wanted to eat there. It was "one" credit.

But what I want to know now is, "What are the chances they will be able to put us together once we get there?"

From touringplans.com

We're happy to report that the situation at Epoct has improved substantially since the plan first rolled out in January, 2005. Back then, nine of the thirteen sit-down restaurants in World Showcase had declined to particpate in the plan. Six of the nine joined the plan in April 2005, including the popular L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante at Italy, Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki Dining Room at Japan, and San Angel Inn Restaurante at Mexico. Several counter-service restaurants in World Showcase have also been added, including Yakitori House at Japan, the Cantina de San Angel at Mexico, and the Boulangerie Patisserie at France. These additions are a substantial improvement to the overall dining plan. Finally, Disney reduced the cost of a sit-down meal at the popular Le Cellier at Canada from two sit-down meals to one in April, too. It should certainly possible to find good values in many of these new restaurants, especially if you're a fan of Epcot dining.

OK...so I emailed Disney and asked the question about Le Cellier credits...Here is their response: :confused3

"Dear DiscussDisney,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

Epcot's Le Cellier Steakhouse is a signature restaurant, there fore requires 2 full service vouchers.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if applicable on all
correspondence.

Thank you!

I would love to go to Le Cellier, but not for two credits.

wow, this is really, really, confusing...

I would not take the pdf files as the 'final word' on this issue because they probably won't be updated too fast for just one change.

WOW, now I'm confused too. All the previous posts I've read indicate it is a 1 TS credit per person ?? I just went online with the disney site, hit the Dining plan brochure for complete details & it clealy lists Le Cellier as a TABLE SERVICE restaurant not a Signature Restaurant. The only SR is Coral Reef. If they've changed the plan somehow then they should immediately change their website. This is confusing & misleading. We're really looking forward to Le Cellier & plan to take the brochure for our trip. But I agree for 2 credits I rather go to the luau at the Poly instead. Here's the link to Disney's website.

Let me comment on the CM email. I have access to the employee/CM website. On this website under the page for leCellier it says 2 credits....however, it has not been updated since April 2005. So if you visit another page where it now list the brochure and information for the NEW dining plan for May 2005, it shows LeCellier as NOT being a signature restraurant. This is why it's so confusing. When you call dining they are looking at the most current information the NEW dining listing; and other times the CMs are going right to the cast website for lecellier and seeing the old outdated listing. I personnally am sticking with the May 2005 listing and the brochure for May 2005 as the most current information. I do check regularly, but have to agree, LeCellier is not worth 2 credits and if it happens, we will probably do one seating and only use credits for 4 out of 8 of us and cash for the rest, and I will cancel my second PS there for my September trip. So, the bottom line is, we don't know and don't put any money on the email from WDW, because it depends which website they got their information from.

We just made our reservations for Le Cellier a few days ago. I asked the CM about this and she said it was 1 credit. I said I wanted to confirm this because some people had reported it was 2. She said she knew nothing about it being 2 credits and even seemed to think it was strange that I suggested it might be.

OK, here's what I found out. I went back to the CM webpage and found that most of the dining information was recently updated!!

On the site that list the menus, which is also the site the CMs use to give you info, under LeCellier it now says: exact words!

Magic Your Way Package plus Dining - Table Service

Had it been a "signature" restaurant, it would have said it in this box.

This page was updated on 7/1/05!!! which means that this is the most current information available.

Also on the page that lists the dining package and all of the info relating to it, which includes a list of restraurants, it does NOT say "signature" next to LeCellier and this page was updated on 6/29/05!!

There is no reason that someone should have received information from a CM at WDW saying this restraurant was 2 TS. Since the information was recently updated, I would take it to be the most up-to-date information. The site I visited is for CMs only and is the main source of information that CMs use on a regular basis.
