I have found some different answers, so am coming here for the correct one. Once the boat leaves the dock at BC, where does it go, does the driver drive around the lake a little? And then, where do you park to watch the fireworks? I have seen a post which said they stopped at the dock at Epcot. Or does it go under the bridge and into the lagoon at Epcot?

TIA

Hi, I've done 2 illuminations cruises now so I hope I can help.

You park under the bridge by the Rose and Crown.

As far as driving around...... One driver I had didn't drive around, tell info, but the cruise was still great because of the view.

The second cruise we got Capt. Ron. He was excellent!! He played disney trivia, drove us down by MGM telling us great info, he then drove us by the Swan and Dolphin with more trivia, and then to park under the bridge.

If you get an illuminations cruise ask for Capt. Ron (well unless it's the 19th - 22nd of April because that's when we're trying to get him :teeth: !) Even after the cruise if you give him your email , he'll email you with trivia :flower1:

Thank You! That is exactly the answer I was hoping to hear regarding the parking. And thank you for the tip on the driver, I will be sure to make him a request.

We've done it a few times and have always rode around first. The captain takes us over to MGM to see the lights there and then we went to park under the bridge. 2 of the times we went, we had kids with us and the captain let the kids drive the boat for a little while over by MGM. DS was 3 at the time and he got a boat captain "license" at the end.

We feel the same way about Jeff. We've had him twice now and he's great. He takes you from YC or BW dock over towards S/D and Disney Studios. Then back over towards Epcot where you park under the bridge that goes to France from the International Gateway. Once the show is over, it's back to the dock.

Jeff knows all sorts of Disney Trivia so you get to try to stump him with some obscure questions. He's also doing the DVC parties over at Luna Park in the afternoon.

We didn't get a chance to check out the party, but Jeff told us that he was doing them at Luna Park. He did the parties they had year before last at BCV during the summer months (once a week at BCV and BWV).

It's a flat rate for the boat. Same price whether you have 1 person or 7 (Ithink 7 is the max, not sure though) It is well worth the money. Last time we did it, it was about $120. It's probably more now.

When I called a couple of weeks ago, the rate for the boat and driver is $120 (flat rate), and the boat will hold 12 people. You can then add on to that rate if you would like food, such as sandwiches, desserts and drinks. Or a birthday cake with decorations.

If I can get lucky enought to book the cruise, we are going to get the birthday cake included and celebrate our birthdays since we are not able to be together on our birthdays.

just hoping on this thread to say try for Cap. Ron or Jeff .. both really nice guys !!! and to say HI LIZ !!!

We just did one last week. It was $125, plus a tip for the captain. That is for about 10 adults or a mix of 12 adults and kids. We had 8 on board (4 adults and 4 kids) and we had a bit more room left. Kids have to wear a life jacket.

And Aaron is another good captain. We haven't had him, yet, but he was docked next to us and he was funny and interesting.

I got a boat to share with my family, but I love meeting disers like bigsis1970 and I'm happy to share... I'll post here before the main boards to give DVCers first grabs :)
