We felt that waiting until December for a vacation was a bit too long, so we have booked a week in Cornwall in July (we were thinking of Dorset, but decided on going back to Cornwall instead :) ).

We are staying in a static caravan near Widemouth Bay :) It's a site we have been to before and has a nice indoor swimming pool and is only a short way from the large beach at Widemouth Bay :)

There is also a nice Indian restaurant in Bude, so I will be more than happy :)

Nice one Tim :teeth:

I think holidays in this country can be very under rated myself.

We love Cornwall and think ourselves lucky to be living down here! My MIL lives in Bude and we often have a week up there in the Summer ....but our fave place in Cornwall, without a doubt, is Polzeath - stunning- very relaxed & unspoilt (celebs come here!!! LOL...serioulsy though, I was behind Hugh Grant in the Spa shop, he was buying some whiskey  )

We are missing our Polzeath family trip this year! But for the past 5 years we (mum, sisters, their children, hubby, Millie and I) have a week there - we book 2 static caravans - the kids love it!!! they just love the caravans! We always stay in the Valley Caravan park which is the closest park to the beach :)

I agree, there are some lovely places in Great Britain. Although we live in Bournemouth, we all love going on seaside holidays and usually try to go somewhere with rock pools as well as a sandy beach. In recent years, we've visited Cornwall and the Isle of Wight twice each.

When people ask us where we're from and we say Bournemouth, they usually say "Coals to Newcastle!!!" but its much nicer to be able to walk directly on to the beach when on holiday whereas at home we still have to travel there either by car or bus.
