I have family coming down and am trying to decide when/how to manage HHN. Money is an issue, and with the price of the Express booklet that I saw posted, I think that's out of the question.

Trying to decide between one peak night (one of them will be working M-F at a temp job) or multiple off-peak nights with the Frequent Fear Pass.

Realistically, how much can you actually see on a peak night if you're not getting express passes? Rides aren't a priority for us since we've been there many times on regular days. How much can you see on a non-peak night, and is it as much fun on those nights?

Right now one peak night will fit much better into our schedules (so that's what I've got in my countdown). So, if we know we won't be spending all night in lines, we will probably do that.

Thanks!

Loom-de-loom. Anyone? Anyone? Well I got a little bit of an idea from the HHN trip report. Anyone else? Anyone?

I remember going to HHN one year on a Tuesday and the park was dead. There were no lines for anything. Of course, running through a haunted house alone was pretty intimitating. I went on a Friday and Saturdays in past years and the park was mobbed. If you didn't get there early, lines for the haunted houses got very long.

If you want to go on a peak night, be in the park before it closes for day guests and have your HHN ticket on hand. Then wait until the houses open and you can get a jump on them.

there was close to 30,000 in the park last night for HHN, so almost everything had a 1-2hr wait. expect all peak nights to be like that. the off-peak nights will be far more empty.

was anyone nice enough to get pictures of HHN or does anyone have any links to pictures from this year?

Thanks, guys.

Good idea, Barry. But, I guess I will be one of the late people since I don't have an AP and don't want to do the upgrade thing (my guests will be at MGM during the day).

Maybe I should try harder to do a few off-peak nights.

From what you describe, off peak is the way to go. Just keep an eye on the times, hang in there and try not to get tooo scared.

What do you mean by "keep an eye on the times"? After talking to my visitors, I'm thinking we may do the off-peak nights, even though one of us may have to miss out completely. :(

So I guess my countdown is lying!

Raifiki,

I meant check the show times and the opening and closing times of Halloween so that you can plan accordingly!

That's all I meant.

oh, ok. so you pretty much mean it still takes some planning instead of "winging it," right? :)
