Most discounts will be posted right on the Great Wolf Lodge website, so basically your best bet is to keep checking every week until a code you like for your timeframe is released.
Great Wolf also has a place on their site where you can sign up to receive promotional emails. We've been advised of some great sales via their emails, and so if you're looking for a deal, be sure to sign up! Also become a fan of Great Wolf Lodge on Facebook, as sometimes they give advance notice of upcoming sales via that method.
Some corporations have discount codes that are given to their employees or members. Unfortunately, I am not one of those lucky ducks!!
According to their website, no deals have been released for January or February just yet. I would guess they will be posted in late October or early November. You can always book a room NOW at the current rate listed, and if a promo comes out, they will apply it to your reservation and credit you accordingly. (By the way, I recommend doing this......it seems that just before a discount or sale is released, their room rates increase somewhat which ends up counterbalancing any discount you may receive. If you book at current rates, and a discount is released (say, save 25%), then you will save that percentage off YOUR original room rate, not off the current rate being offered for your travel date. Just a tip I thought I'd share!). I have always had top-notch service from their reservations department and when dealing directly with the front desk staff at GWL Niagara.
Me personally.....unless your kiddos are 9 and under, I would skip the theme suites with the bunkbeds. The bunks are small (if you're over five feet, FORGET it!), the mattresses are thin. Yes, they are FUN

and novel for a first visit, but honestly.....we did the family fireplace suite this last time and LOVED the extra room (much more spacious than the Kid Kamp which we had before) and the fireplace was such a nice touch. I can imagine it would be well enjoyed on a winter visit!!!! Plus, we like saving the bucks you'd spend on the theme suite and using them somewhere else in the Lodge....like the arcade or the gift shop

.
The waterpark is incredible

. Yup, you'll spend most of your time by the pool, especially on a first visit!
Particularly when you're visiting in the winter, I would *highly* recommend the "inclusive" package. A full buffet breakfast (which is visited by one of the mascots, either Wiley the Wolf or Biko the Bear, every morning at 8 a.m.), lunch at Pizza Hut or the Bear Claw Cafe, and a full buffet dinner per person is included in your room rate. You also get a few other extras too (like arcade tokens, a Cub Club craft and a stuffed animal per child). Food is expensive there (and frankly, its expensive all over Niagara.....a dinner of burgers and fries at Perkins last year cost us $100 for two adults and two kids after taxes and tip

) and in the dead of winter, it will be sooooo nice for you to never have to leave the lodge. We did the inclusive package during the summer for five nights, and it was fantastic!

We thought the food was great, and having two all-you-can-eat meals in a day worked out so well. It is amazing how hungry swimming all day can make you.
Have a wonderful time!!!
