ANOTHER Grand Cal question....

I know I've asked a lot of Grand Cal questions lately, and I'm sorry for that. I understand that check in there is at 3 pm. Would I be able to request early check in and if so, is there a fee for it? I'm just curious because whenever we go on a Disneyland vacation, we have early plane flights. I know the hotel can hold our bags, but it's always nice to have your room ready early. Thanks!!!

Go early to check in. We did when we stayed at the DLH. There is no extra charge and they do hold your bags for you when your room is ready.

I'm sorry, what I meant was, can I request my room to be ready if I check in early and would there be a charge for that???

We checked in last Wednesday about 12:30. Unfortunately they could not get our room ready until well after 4:00. They are really busy right now. They give you a number to call to check your room and go ahead and give you your room key (they don't tell you the room # though) so that when the room is ready you can just head directly to it. Also, they will call you on your cell phone when the room is ready if you prefer that. Hopefully your room will be ready early, I have always lucked out before at the Disneyland Hotel with that and it is so nice when it happens! Also, if you aren't picky about location that helps your odds of getting in early. Good luck, you will love the GCH, its wonderful!

P.S. There would not be a charge for checking in early. I once checked into the Disneyland Hotel at about 9:00 a.m. and they didn't charge extra. Its just a matter of if they are able to which with the current crowd levels is harder to come by.

When we stayed there, it was a whole huge group of us with several rooms. Well only our room was ready. Which was nice, and we were there around 1 pm I'd say. The rest had to wait until 3pm. I think it just depends on if they have a room clean, and like someone else said depends on the location you want.

When we stayed at the Disneyland hotel last year we got there at like noon and they had our room ready. It was a standard view room, but that was okay with us. I also like getting to my room right away if possible.
