Hi everyone,

I just booked ASMo 8/29-9/2 for $276 (tax incl.) for a standard room with the DC disc. We also got a $230/night rate at AKL savannah view for our trip the week before Easter with the DC card. This rate (at ASMo) is lower than the current summer savings WDW was offering with the code, we couldn't use it anyway because of the dates. Now I'm just hoping for an even better code to come out to save us a few more bucks. We have to do a REALLY cheap trip this time, thanks to the last one. Luckily we still have days left on the PHP's. Can somebody fill me in on the crowd situation for the last week in August? I know its Labor Day weekend but will it be as crowded as the week before Easter? I know, I know it will be UNBEARABLY hot...but I can deal with the heat, just not the crowds. It was such a disappointment to have to leave MK the night of DS's birthday (3/27) because of the crowds, they were unbelievable!!!
Any info?
Thanks

"Value" season starts 8/25/02, rack rate for ASMo would be $77, with the 20% DC discount it would be 61.60. Multiplying that by 5 (8/29-9/2) is 341.88 (incl. tax) so you're getting more than the DC discount. ~:)~

If you multiply it by 4 nights it comes to $69 per night (8/29-9/2) I think they may mean check out on the 2nd.

Still a great rate, if I have my numbers correct. I am looking for something like that for 10/18-10/27.

We went this past end of Aug through Sept 3. Yep, it was hot, but as long as we had our lemonade (I pack baggies and just ask for icewater), and our spritzer, we were fine. The crowds were low, which surprised us. More people over the actual weekend, but not as bad as mid summer.

You're right, I shouldn't have counted 9/2 (it was late when I posted that, brain had gone to bed). ~:p~

Yup we are checking out on the 2nd. Thanks for the heads up on the crowds, we're going to AK and MK on Friday (hoping its an e-ride night, I added a day just to hopefully get one this time around), BB on Saturday, and MGM and Epcot on Sunday. My theory is that MK will most likely be the most crowded park on Sat. and Epcot never seems crowded so I figured Sunday should be fine. Plus we go very first thing in the morning anyway and go back in the ealry evening so we should avoid any semi-major crowds. The heat is unavoidable though so I'll just be sure to pack the mister fan before we leave!!
