Another Genie+ Stacking Question - Flying in tomorrow 11/24

We are flying in to WDW tomorrow morning 11/24. We should be in the MK around 12:30pm and plan on staying till park close. We have DAS for our son but are thinking of doing Genie+ as well. So we will be taking off shortly after 7am. So we would book our first ride at 7am for as close to 9am as possible. We will book something we don't mind losing for the day since we won't be in the park before the time window to go on the ride ends. I know we would be eligible to book our next Genie+ ride either 2 hours after the park opens which will be 11am or after we tap into the first ride. So hypothetically if we book a ride for a 10:30-11:30 return window we would be able to book another ride at 11am. So we would then be holding 2 Genie+ rides. Since we won't yet be in the park I assume the first Genie+ reservation we made will just expire at 11:30. I assume we can then make another reservation at that time as though we had used that reservation? Also, do we have to wait till the window ends at 11:30 or once we have made the other Genie+ reservation at 11am can we just override our original Genie+ reservation at say11:01 and book a new Genie+ reservation or would we need to wait till 11:30? Hopefully that was not too confusing. Thanks for the help.

If you're hoping to book a Genie+ reservation, just in the hopes of being able to stack and hold multiple reservations you will have to wait until the window for that reservation closes before booking another one. Just really make sure it's something you don't plan on riding, because even though you never used it, G+ won't let you book it again. I would also book something that ends after 11am, just to be on the safe side - which will likely be tricky at 7am, it's only likely to be Peter Pan and Jungle Cruise at that point, so you may not want to use a "throw away" reservation on those. I think it you booked something that expired before that time, it would override the 120 min. rule and you would only have 1 reservation to use - just like if you used it before 11am in the park.

It’s never necessary or desirable to let a reservation expire fully. You can always cancel a reservation, which makes you immediately eligible to book. So you can book something, wait for your eligibility time to come up, book a new thing, then cancel your original booking and book again. When you cancel, you retain the ability to book that same ride for a future time, whereas if you just let it expire, you can’t book it for the rest of the day.

I haven't been following LL availability but assuming there is availability in the afternoon you should book an AK for 9:15 or later so you can take advantage of 2 hours at 10am. That would require a friend on the ground or internet access in the air, but would be ideal. That way at 10am you can book a second, cancel and rebook your first. Then at 12 you can book a third one and have a triple stack on arrival. I would NEVER suggest turning on your data for a minute to handle your booking, so there is likely a Wi-fi option on your plane you could look at for a nominal fee.

Also note, it isn't critical to book at 7 so if no windows are open late enough and you can get internet access booking at 8am would be just as good for this purpose.

EDIT: I realized that it won't matter what time your AK reservation is for since the system will automatically push it back to 2pm. However, I am not positive what happens if you don't have park hopping. If it won't let you book an AK LL for some reason you could still set up the triple as of 1pm without using AK, would just be easier to be able to secure it by noon and not risk any desirable rides at MK. And of course if noon comes around and you realize there are some major delays you would be able to set up a quad stack as of 2pm.

So you are saying book at a park we are not even going to (I guess the return time would be after 2pm) and since AK opens at 8 am tomorrow we can then book a MK at 10am?

That is my understanding. Planning to test it myself on Dec 9th, but as of now that is what several other users experienced as described in the usage thread. Not really critical in this situation since 12:30 is close enough to 1pm it would be worth waiting 30 minutes, but certainly a little more convenient.

Edit: I was editing my previous post while you were posting it seems. Yes, it should automatically push out to 2pm (I have personally experienced that one) I assume you can still book LL in other parks even without park hopping, but if not you can still do the same thing as of 1pm at MK.
