Another Genie+/ ala carte LL question

I have a 3 day 1 park/day pass. I don't know that I need Genie+ for both days at DL. I'm thinking instead of buying Genie+ in advance (where I'll have to purchase for all 3 days) I'll buy on my 2nd DL day. On my first DL day, I plan to buy the ala carte LL for ROTR.

I really am annoyed that that I'd have to buy LL for ROTR on top of Genie+, so I'm thinking that will be the extra expense for that day. Any thoughts? Will I regret trying to be frugal?

No I think that’s fine unless it’s a holiday weekend, shortened park day or something. Maybe get G+ on your first day though and leave ROTR ILL$ until your second day. That way you can add G+ again if needed OR even find you can do ROTR on day 1 without purchasing ILL$.

We went last week and did this exact same thing. We did DL day 1 no G+ and paid the extra $ for ROTR LL. Knowing that we planned on getting G+ on Day 3, we focused on the non-G+ rides most of the time (e.g., we rope dropped Peter Pan and were able to hit up all rides in Fantasyland within the first hour and a half). We then did DCA with no G+; we rope dropped Racers and paid the extra $ for the Webslingers LL later that afternoon. We then did G+ for our last day in DL and hit up all the rides we missed on Day 1.

We were just there for 3 days with park hoppers. We only did Genie+ on our first day and it worked out great. Rope drop on the two other days got us on the big rides with short waits and then day 2 and 3 we did a ILL each day. The busier evenings we watched shows, shopped and msep or world of color. I think it was a reasonably quiet week.

We're thinking of a similar plan of attack. We don't currently intend to do ILL$, but we may do G+. Trying to decide if we want to do G+ on day 1, or wait and see if we really need it and then add it for day 2 or 3.
