another GAD question, did I do it right?

Hi! I am taking a cruise in April that stops in Port Canaveral so... since we are so close to Disney I want to do Epcot but not pay the ship's excursion cost ($160!) I found a project Linus site about an hour from my home. I registered with my name and put my husband's name in the comment box. Was that right? I don't have to fill out a separate express interest form for him do I?

Yes, if it is just you and your DH planning to go to Epcot, you did it right. GAD should be sending you a email about thank you for inquirng,etc. keep that email because you will have to follow the link about signnig up after Project linus contacts you and gives you the info on how many blankets will be needed.

Did you sign your dh up as an additional volunteer in your household on the Hands On Network's website? That's important.
I didn't do the Linus blankets but when I clicked on my choice it linked me to sign up at the HON website. That's where I enter name, addr etc. then at the bottom you click on "add a volunteer" so you can add other family members.
Once my volunteering was done, that company verified to HON who tells Disney to ok the voucher.

Are just the 2 of you going? If not, you'll need to sign up everyone on the Hands On Network page. Are you renting a car in PC to get to Epcot? We're cruising in April too.

Thanks everyone for your replies! Luckly I was working with the Disney Queen last night and she showed me how to finish everything.(since she has registered about 17 people so far!) I am signed up and will buy my fleece tomorrow and a sharp pair of scissors. Yes my DH and I are going ALONE on this trip! I do plan on renting a car in Port Canaveral and driving ourselves! I can't wait. We are cruising out of Baltimore April 11!

That's great! Dh and I took a quickie cruise alone once. (Well, with friends, no kids.) It was sooo nice. We did miss them but had a great time.

I just did the blankets for Project Linus and had read a suggestion from a fellow DIS lover that you should use a rotary cutter instead of scissors. I bought a rotary cutter with a mat at WalMart for $15.00. It was so easy to use and cut the fabric so easily. It made things go faster for me as I had 5 blankets to do. I just dropped mine off at the local unit yesterday and anxiously waiting for my confirmation. I can't wait!!!
