I hope you guys aren't sick of me yet? I truly owe you all for all my planning! I could not have done this without you!

Ok what are the stipulations for outside food? I bought a soft cooler tonight to put it in the bottom of my stroller. It is about the size to put about 12 20 ounces water bottles in upright. I have a diabetic child and a child with a protein def. Is this going to be okay? Any ideas on what to pack? Ways to keep it all cold without buying ice?

Thanks for all your input and help on this trip!

Not sure what the official word is either, but when we visited a few weeks ago not once did anyone search under the stroller, only backpacks/purses. We had a couple of jackets in the basket under the stroller, but also some food and water bottles. Maybe they wouldve if it had been more obvious.

We bring in water bottles (usually about 8), food, snacks, etc. all of the time without any problem. I don't think you will have any problem. :goodvibes

freeze a few water bottles. they will serve as cold packs and you can drink the cold water later.

string cheese, peanut butter crackers, granola bars, gogurt... pretty much whatever snacks you would eat at home.

we have taken lots of different snacks in and no one has ever said anything. :)

You shouldn't have any trouble bringing your food in. We bring food for our DS all the time because he can only eat pureed food and has a special formula. And we also usually bring several water bottles. We've never had anyone say anything about it. The official rule is no outside food but they don't really enforce this and allow smaller soft sided coolers. If for some reason they did say something, once you explain about your kids' nutritional needs there shouldn't be any problem but I've never heard of anyone having trouble bringing in outside food.

Depending on the CM, security may look under your stroller and if they see a bag down there, they will ask you to open it. I've noticed they seem to be checking under the strollers more often than they used to. It will save you time (and keep the line moving) if you already have your cooler out and unzipped for them to see.

Fruit snacks, uncrustables, and freeze some Capri suns, which will also work to keep everything cold.

Last year I was sitting at the Tomorrowland Terrace waiting for my family on Autopia. I watched a family next to me take out several large containers of food. They had meat, rice, potatoes, veggies...the works! They even brought their own plates, utensils and drinks. I figured if they got in with that buffet in their bag, a few sandwiches and snacks for the kids would be just fine!:)

We keep kosher and I'm gluten-free so our food purchases inside the park are limited. I've never had a problem bringing anything in. We usually do 4-5 hour day trips so I bring sandwiches for the girls, some sort of cookie/treat, some fruit and drinks. Definitley be ready to show them the cooler (yhey've looked under the stroller the last few trips) and I second using frozen bottles of water.

When we went last summer, they checked the bags under our stroller too, but had no problem with our little cooler bag with drinks and snacks. Just remember, no glass bottles or containers are allowed and you should'nt have any problems.

When I was there last week I got stuck behind someone with a stroller at least 5 times, and each time they made the parent (or whoever was pushing the stroller) empty everything out of the bottom basket and they looked thru every single bag. It was frustrating but I understand why and it didnt bother me. So while DL security may have been lax in the past but they definitely arent now!

We took were there last week. The first day they just asked us to open our backpack and they peaked in it, no problem. The next day they asked us to take it completely out of the stroller and they went through every single place it opened! We had snacks and drinks and they clearly saw them and there were no problems any time. We brought snacks and drinks every day in.

They will check the cooler, but won't prevent you bringing food in the park. Last December I saw someone with Subway bags hanging from the stroller.
