Wow, thanks for the info here on the DIS!!! Brenda Bennet at Disneyfoods was very very helful and sent me all of the allergy info that I need. (Nut and citrus allergy for my dd)

Then Chef George from CBR called and wanted to know how he could be of help. He's even making her special brownies and sugar cookies :) Finally, a baked good that I DON'T have to make!!!

He's even looking at her being the Jr Chef for the night on our arrival day at Shutters. I had PS already, so he'd just have to change the usual peanut butter dog shaped cookie to decorate to a nut free type. NO problem he said. We'll see if it happens, it'll be a way cool surprise.

Kudos to disney for acknowledging these food allergies that most people blow off, ignore or just think are stupid. I am not a crazy parent looking for special things :)

That is awesome! It is so nice that the chef at CBR is so helpful. We found the chefs at CSR to be that way too - making some arrangements with them beforehand.

Follow-up with them to confirm, and then inform the host/hostess when you check-in at the podium that you wish to speak with the chef about your food allergy concerns. We have found all Disney-managed restaurants to be very mindful of our dietary needs. Don't be surprised if things initially get a little mixed up. And the food tastes so good too.
