Sorry I know this stuff gets old I've done a few searches of threads but still not sure.

As I've already said in another thread this is my first trip and also doing DIY. I've read a lot of flights threads and miles + money seems to be quite popular, having no miles this doesn't really apply to me, unless I use tesco cc vouchers to convert so question 1 is would that be a good or bad option?

I'll be looking for flights from Manchester, I don't drive so car hire either end is no good for me. I'm also trying to fly direct as it'll be me toting luggage for myself my 8yo and my mum, none of us have flown more than a few hours so very nervous first timers.

I've budgeted £2k for flights is this reasonable? Also are flight sales ever much cop? I'm trying to create a buffer of a few hundred. I know flights are unpredictable, I'm just starting to worry I've made a silly decision to book :scratchin

No question is ever a silly one :goodvibes

When are you looking to travel? That would be the biggest factor if you are looking for direct flights.

Out of school holidays sale flights tend to be under the £500 mark per person.

Not the best person for school holidays as I have only just started that with next Easter being our first school holiday trip!

It will be school hols oct 2013 so a long way off, I think I'm just stressing :lmao:

I'm starting to feel ok about going indirect if we have to, at least if we layover in US somewhere we'll have done immigration :goodvibes

Sorry to bump my own thread just looking for some input about if anyone currently changed clubcard vouchers to virgin miles and if this is a good option :confused3

I am going to do this I think. The club card vouchers are just not worth it anymore on reducing the balance of a Virgin Holiday as they are just too expensive to begin with. At least converting them you can use them to offset the flights or maybe go for an upgrade...:thumbsup2
