What if our time is 11:00-12:00 and we get there at 11:45 and the line is way out the door to even get our bands scanned how do we allot for the time we will have to wait in the fast pass line.. any thoughts on this is there a grace window for this? :confused3

Your FP+ will scan 5 minutes before and 15 minutes after your window. Never personally tried the 5 minutes before, but 15 minutes after does work.

If you find yourself in a situation where you entered the line but still don't make it to the scanner in over 15 minutes (so the grace period ends), I would politely explain to the CM that I was there before my window ended and I am going to be let through the scanner. Although, I can't imagine they give people a hard time if the wait for the scanner causes them to miss their FP.

Are you saying that there is a possibility of waiting 15 minutes or more to get scanned into a line and then another wait to get on the ride?

Sadly, the answer is yes.

Wow, this is the first report I've read of this for FP+.

Can anyone else confirm that Mickey turns green if you are up to 15 minutes past the end of your hour-window?

I haven't done it myself, but have seen many reports of this being the case.

I can't confirm 15 minutes, but I can confirm 5. We were 5 minutes late for 2 rides last week and Mickey still turned green. Witnessed one man trying to use a FP+ 1 hour and 15 minutes late and he was told to get in the standby line.

Not really sure about these reports of long waits for FP+. We were there during Presidents Day week including MK on Presidents Day and never waited longer than 10 minutes to get on any of our FP+ rides.

Sadly, the answer is yes.

Have you experienced this yourself?

I have now used FP+ over Veterans Day and Presidents Day and while the park was crowded and lines "appeared" long, the waits were never longer than 10 minutes total.

There seems to be. We were worried about a FP for BTMRR -- our bus was really late and then got stuck in traffic on the way to MK. We almost rescheduled but the wifi was down at MK so we booted it to the ride. When we got in the line at the first scanner the clock at the FP return said 6:04 (our return time was 5:05 to 6:05) We were about 10 minutes in line and got through any way. Another 10 minutes to the next scanner and it went green too.

But, yes, we've seen people turned away at 20 minutes after even though they had been standing in line.

Your mileage may vary. With all the glitches and tweaks in the system, I don't think there will be any hard and fast rules that you can follow for a while.

Yes we waited in FP return lines over 20 minutes, but it was in Jan (pop guests) so some conditions have changed.
