You can call the Disney Dining number to make the PS reservation. You let them know you want the Fantasmic Dinner package for the night you choose. Then they will let you know what restaraunts are available on that night. You have to put money down on the credit card to hold it (I believe it is ten dollars). After you are done with your meal they give you a pass that is good for special seating for the show that night. You go to a special entrance, show your pass and are let in to go to your seats in a reserved section. We unfortunately were out of luck because there was a storm our night so they cancelled the show and we were out the money. I think we're just going to take our chances this year since we're going in June and it thunderstorms almost every night.

You book the Fantasmic Package with your regular 90 day out call to Disney dining. They'll tell you the times available. A lot of times when you call 90 days out they'll give you a really early seating but when you call back (say 30 days out) they've opened it up to some later seatings. We've done all three and I think Hollywood Brown Derby is the best, Mama Melrose's second. We didn't care for H&V at all, but maybe we just had a bad night. THe food is off the regular menu - with a set price. It's a good deal especially when you go during the busier times. We go in July with three small children so I wouldn't go to Fantasmic if I didn't have the dinner package. Hope this helps.

we are going on JUNE as well..when will u be there? I think i will still take my chances,,,,,as long as it no more than say 10 bucks.....thats ok I guess ....i will be sad about FANTASMIC though......thanks!!!!

Well, I'm not sure when you are going so I don't know if they'll be two shows or not but I'll try and answer your questions.

You call at 90 days and ask for the fantasmic package. Then you tell them which restaurant; H&V, Mama's or Brown Derby. Then they will tell you some times. If you are going off season and there is one early show like at 7:00p, the PS times they'll give you will be between 4:00 and 5:00. You pick which one you like. If there are two shows, you'll have to decide which show you want to go to and then they'll tell you some times. The window of times is small as you need time to eat and then get to the show.

When you do eat, they'll give you a voucher and tell you to head to the show about 45 minutes to maybe 30 minutes at a special back entrance. You will get a seat on the far right of the stage.

I've never eaten at Mama's so I can't help there.

We are going June 4-10th. Last year we tried on two different nights with the package and it was cancelled both nights, we were so bummed. Got good meals but at Hollywood and Vine for that price I was disappointed we didn't get the show, only that would have made it worth the price spent. Here's hoping we get to see it this year.

While I LOVE Fantasmic! I'm not sure we'd do the dinner package again. The food and service at Hollywood & Vine were great, but the reserved seating section,to me, wasn't that good. It's off to the side a bit. I'd rather be dead on in the middle. So I think next trip,we'll take our chances w/ the lines, and go for better seats. :wizard:

We did the package at H and V last year and the show cancelled due to a storm, so we took our chances on another night 1.5 hours before the show, armed with a GBA to keep us amused, plus i love to people watch so that kept me entertained. We got way better seating, bang smack in the middle, I suire wouldnt book the package this time.

I will ALWAYS do the package. Let's say that the seats are rated 1 to 10. 10 being the best seats dead center and half way up. 1 being standing room only in the back - YUCK. I would rate the seats for the package between a 6 and 8. The two sections on the far right (facing the stage and closest to the exit) are the sections for the dinner package. If you end up in a seat in the end section, I would rate it 6 to 7 depending on where you sit. If you get a seat in the second section from the end, I would rate them 7 to 8. We have always turned up very close to the time when had to show up (30 min before show) and have always gotten great seats in the second section from the end - my rate of 8. I would much rather get the package and get these seats than have to show up 2 hours before the show to get the "perfect" seat. I want to ride TOT a few times before the show.

::yes:: We have always done it too, off season even and knock on wood, have never been rained out even in August.

I much prefer to come 30 minutes before the show and do most of my waiting not sitting on those uncomfortable bleachers (and doing rides!) then arriving 2 hours early and wait in the line and then wait on the bleachers.

To each their own.

I have reserved Fant(for last oct)who have to give them a CC and if you do not cancel within 48 hours or no show -- then you are charged. Even if 1 person is not attending in your group--need to take them off.
