Another Fantasmic balcony seating question

Sorry I know this topic has been beat to death, but I am wondering:

When do you have to check in for your reservations? Is it possible to find a good central hub location to watch the fireworks at 9:25 and then report directly to the balcony for 10:30 Fantasmic?

DH wants to do the balcony but I also really want a good vantage point to see Remember..Dreams Come True. Wishes is my absolute favorite show in WDW. If we did the 9:00 Fantasmic then how is the view of the fireworks from the balcony (and can we even stay there during?)

If neither of these situations will work, then on the day we go to DCA would it work to watch the EP at 8:45 and then go over for 10:30 Fantasmic?

Thanks for your suggestions!

Does anyone have any pics of the balcony seating area? I've read that it's kind of tight but just would like to see what it's like.

Hi, I just returned from our trip to Disneyland. We did the 10:30 pm seating in the balcony for Fantasmic on Friday, 3/24. Yes, it was a little "tight" for space with 21 adults and the dessert buffet table but the view was amazing! Check in was 10 pm for the 10:30 pm show. We viewed the fireworks from the area in front the castle right in front of the entrance to Adventureland. We made sure we were just inside the roped area so we could easily exit after the fireworks through Adventureland and into New Orleans Square. The view from there for the fireworks was really not bad at all. I know prime viewing would have been directly in front the castle but we knew we had to make it through the crowds after the fireworks and would have had difficulty getting through the thick crowds of people. Anyway, our plan worked out great and we made it to the stairs of the balcony just before 10 pm. The cast members were controlling the crowds moving in and out of the lands by having sections only going one way in and one way out. I think you may have a problem getting into New Orleans Square if you are further away from the area during the fireworks. BTW, the fireworks was the BEST I've ever seen! It brought tears to my eyes and chicken skin! Don't miss it!

BTW, if you get the 9 pm Fantasmic show, you can stay to watch the fireworks from the balcony but I'm not sure what the view is like from there. Maybe someone else who did this might know.

We had 9PM Fantasmic balcony seats and stayed to watch the fireworks. From our seats (front row, middle), we were able to see most of the fireworks quite well. Naturally, it was very nice to have seats for the show, and to not have any tall people or trees blocking the view. However, it was difficult to see some of the mainstreet area pyrotechnics, and naturally, you don't see the projections. The seats all the way off to the gallary side might have more obstructed views than we had. I would recommend a more centralize viewing area (hub or even Main St), if you only have one chance to see the fireworks However, if you have the chance to see the fireworkds more than once, this is a nice way to watch the show.

Check out Mary Jo's sticky post on DLR info and go to the Fantasmic listing. It has great pictures and info on the Fantasmic Buffet.

We've done both the balcony and the riverside and like the previous posters have noted, if you are at the 9:00 show, they allow you to stay for the fireworks. Of the two, IMHO, the riverside has the better view of Wishes. You can also see TinkerBell from this area whereas she was "blocked" when we were on the balcony.
