I know this has been talked about recently, but I can't seem to find the answer I am looking for. I didn't know until a few days ago that guests of any DLR hotel can use the EE any day it is offered - so I haven't payed attention to what days it is offered! Or how early you can get in, or where they admit you to. I know when we did it before, it was to Fantasyland only. Has that changed?

Thanks for any help! We are going in May if that matters.

EE is offerred Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It gets you into the park 1 hour before actual park opening. So if hours are 8-12, then ee is at 7am. If park opens at 10, ee is at 9. It gets you into fantasyland and some rides in tomorrowland. You will not be allowed access into any other part of the parks. If entering via the main gates, the gates should be marked early entry. You'll probably need to show your white charge slip (given at check-in along with your parkhoppers/AP) which verifies the hotel you are staying at and the days you are there.

Now is this just if you are staying at a DLR hotel, or if you bought the whole ticket/hotel package?

We stayed at the GCH last year, but bought parkhoppers elsewhere and were told we couldn't do this? We're staying at the GCH again this year and would love a chance to do EE.

We stayed at GCH last Oct '05 and used it on Sat, Mon, Tues, and Thursday without any issues. The first time, they marked it off of our parkhopers, the following 3 days they just verified our hotel & dates by checking the white chargeslip. Reading form these boards, ee for onsite guests (regardless if hotel & hoppers were purchased seperately or together) is an unpublished perk that began in may when they kicked off the 50th celebration. Since it is an unpublished perk, they may pull it at any time. Ask when checking in, to see if it's still going on. We have APs now and will be there in 6 days. We hope it's still available since we're staying at DLH.

Thanks for the info victorandbellasmom. That clears it up. Would you mind posting when you get back if it is still available? I will ask when we get there, but I would like to know ahead of time as much as I can. Thanks!

I just thought of another question - can you use the monorail for the early entry, or do you have to go to the main gate?

Are there ever any EE days for CA? :)

Also, since the hours on Sat June 24 are from 6:30-5pm, will the early entry day be cancelled? Are these hours due to the POC premier?

Thanks!

TSRE- sure, i'll definitely post after my trip. I'm hoping to post my trip report while we're there. I wanted to do it for our last trip but by the end of the trip i forgot what happened each day.

kwdietrich1 - According to Darbeer on anotehr board, there will be no ee on June 24. Here's the link to his post http://mb.laughingplace.com/default.asp?WCI=MsgBoard&WCE=T-73840-P-1&Refresh=0323064304 . It says that the park will remain open 'til 5, but rides will close around 2pm. Yes, these hours are due to the POC premiere

Its my understanding that everyone who buys at least a three day hopper from DL will be given an EE voucher regardless if you stay on site or not. There own website states

You're not wrong! Everyone who buys at least a 3 day parkhopper gets ONE early entry day for their stay. Resort guests , in contrast, can go to early entry EVERY DAY it is offered. So, if you are there for a week with a hopper and are not a resort guest, you would have one early entry day; a resort guest there for the same time would have four early entry days.

No, your not wrong. You get ONE EE. If you stay at a DRL hotel, you can get EE every time it is offered durning your stay. We are staying at GCH. We can get in 4 EE days but if we were staying off site, like we usually do, we would only get in 1 EE day.

Sorry - Dobie's post wasn't on my screen when I started to answer.

Just reitterating what Dobie and RADOPT said. You are right. One early entry comes with 3+day parkhoppers. However, onsite guests may avail ee every day it is offered during their stay.
Have a great stay at GCH RADOPT. My family really enjoyed our stay there. Hope yours does too.

Thanks - I'm sure we will. We stayed there not too long after it first opened. It reminds me of the Wilderness Lodge at WDW. I am looking forward to the park view  It will be nice to stay in a fancier hotel - I'm usually too cheap to spend the money :rotfl: but this is a special trip for my daughter's birthday and mothers day. My mom has no idea that we are staying here.

We stayed at the DLH July 14-24, 2005 and this option was never mentioned to us. We used the one early entry on the park hopper we pre-purchased. I read these boards religiously before our trip and read that the resorts had changed their policy from EE being a resort only perk to being available to everyone with a 3 day or more hopper ticket and you receive only a 1 EE day.

We spent lots of bucks on that trip and it is very disappointing this perk was available to us on all the EE days offered during our 10-day stay, but no one or no hotel information told us of this perk while we were their hotel guest.

We had previously stayed there in Oct 2001 when is was a resort only perk for 1.5 hours before opening to hotel guests only.

Good to know for future trips, but really disappointing because we would have definitely used this perk everyday offered.

Thanks for the link. Very interesting, exciting, and yet disappointing, as I was really hoping to catch the original POC (as a WDW vet). Oh well, I'm just happy
to be heading to DL!
