Another Ebay Question!!

How long do you typically wait for a buyer to contact you? I have sent an invoice - then an email just asking if they had received it and there hadn't been a communication glitch. One of them I got a response to and am just still waiting for payment - I'm not to concerned about that one yet. The other one hasn't acknowledged either email. Maybe I'm just naive but as a buyer I always either made payment immediately through paypal - or I emailed them to let them know a money order, etc was in the mail. And I'm not a frequent buyer or seller. Any input???

Well this afternoon will make it 3 days (it ended Friday afternoon) - so it's not excessive yet....I'm just nervous because I haven't gotten a response to any emails even.

I'm in this same boat. I sold something last week on the 22nd. I've sent two invoices. No response. The person has msn, as I do, and msn usually goes to junkmail. He emailed me last night asking for a total, and I emailed him right back along with another invoice, and still no payment.

What I don't understand is why people need the total to pay??? You can just check out or go through paypal. I'm not sure how long to wait before I relist, because I have nothing in my listing about that.

I usually put "contact expected within 3 days" in my auction terms. Do you have anything like that in your auction? You can always pull their contact info and give them a call. I would wait until 7 days out to do that though. Sometimes people have e-mail or computer problems. I had a buyer go on vacation once and forgot that they bid and were surprised that they won. I'm usually not in a big hurry and am pretty understanding. Just be sure you wrap it up within 30 days in case you need to file for a fee refund and for feedback reasons. Good Luck

I had three buyers who waited over 4 days to contact me last time (my payment instructions state that I must hear from them in 48 hours). They finally responded when I sent a second invoice. Sometimes the e-mails do go to junk, but IMO it's their responsibility to know that they bid on something and to keep an eye on it! Not sure what to tell you, except give it a couple more days... you can't do anything through eBay until 7 days, anyways. Hopefully they will come through for you!!
