I want to Ebay some things, alot of it my Momma's stuff that none of us kids want or can use. Along w/ all the other stuff I have laying around that I just don't need. All is in good shape! But I have no idea what I am doing. I've set up a Paypal acct. along w/ an ebay acct. but I don't understand the fees, and I have no idea on how to describe this stuff, what to charge for shipping..etc! I don't wanna run to the post office every day to find out how much something would cost to ship. So if anyone can tell me on how to get started I would appreciate it. This is gonna be Disney money!!!
I know it's daunting, but I must tell you I learned EVERYTHING I needed to know on the EBAY THREAD on the Budget Board. I was linked there from the CB one day after inheriting WAY more stuff I needed from my parents' estate and it's been a WONDERFUL ride since!
I litterally pay for all my Orlando trips via my eBay funds, and I've gone 4 times since I started back in May! I don't know of any faster and more sure way of putting a little more money in your pocket.
Get a postal scale, a digital camera, do a search on the products you have, you can even copy some of the descriptions and adjust them to your product. You don't have to be a copywriter, you can tell by some of the descriptions you'll find. A good picture is better than a good description, just make sure it includes the FACTS.
Make sure you do a "completed items" search to see if your items sell at all and for how much. Remember to start low but not much lower than you want to accept for the item. You can set a "reserve" price in case you won't accept lower.
PayPal fees are small and are explained on the PayPal site. It is VERY worth it to have Premier account where you can accept credit cards. The fee is well worth the quick way you will receive your money.
