Another Dumb Room Question (room 6526)

My first post (after weeks of lurking)!!! We're going on a 7-day Western sailing Feb 01/03. We've been assigned room 6526 on deck 6. Anyone ever had this room?? It's an ajoining room and I'm a bit nervous given some of the comments I've read on the topic. In contrast, we were on the Wonder in room 5004 (over the theater) and, while we heard some noise, it was never long-lasting nor was it too disturbing.

Given what we're spending on this vacation (the Canadian exchange rate is brutal!!), I just want to ease my neurosis!!!!

Oh! One more question! We were only able to get late seating for dinner. Anyone have any strategies for wswitching to early seating??

Hi KLondon, and welcome to the Cruise Board!

Deck 6 overall is a WONDERFUL deck and although I would not pick an adjoining room if I could prevent it, I wouldn't worry about it. Your room is right by the forward elevators which is very convenient.

If you're not already waitlisted for Main Dining, do that now. If you don't clear the waitlist before you board check your Personal Navigator for the time and place to go to request dining changes, and get there EARLY. They may not be able to switch you but you can certainly try.

my family and I stayed in 6526 for our seven night eastern cruise in Nov. it was great. It seemed that we alaways docked on the side that our room faced so we could watch us come in to port. Also the huge ocean view window was great. You will enjoy it we will book no less than that cat from now on

I will be cruising with you guys on Feb 1, there is a thread going with a large bunch of us, please check it out its very long, Ill try to bump it up.

I stayed in 6544 adjoining 6546 last march. It was a fine location and I did hear some voices next door but it wasnt bad at all. That was the side that faced where we were docked, so that was a plus. Im on the other side of the ship this time on deck 7. I was told that deck 6 is quieter and more pleasant.
