I was wondering in what locations of the hotel are the balcony rooms? I would like to place a request, but its hard to tell from the pictures what sections of the hotel has balconies.

I would love a higher floor with a balcony but would hate to have a direct view of someone elses room! (LOL, I read about someone having this type of balcony room)

Also, are the balcony rooms far from the elevators? We stayed in a balcony room at the Swan and it was a real quick walk to the elevator. My pet peeve at hotels is walking for miles just to get to your room.

Any suggestions welcome!

Most of the balcony rooms are located in the wings. There are 2 east wings and 2 west wings. The balconies alternate rooms and it is possible to see into other rooms the next wing over. The wings are separated by the lake.

For a shorter walk to the elevator request one of the inner wings (either east or west). For a quick trip to Tubbi's request the inner west wing. The elevator takes you directly down to Tubbi's and the pool is close by (closer to the further west wing).

If you request a room toward the end of the wings facing east you'll be able to see Illuminiations.

My favorite room was one we had last December at the very end of the wing. The room had a torret balcony (I believe that's what it's called), which is an oversized balcony that is at the end of the wing facing the Swan (you can see a lot from there), plus we were right above the waterfall clam shell. Some of these end rooms also have a regular slider balcony in addition. We just had a window there but loved the end balcony (didn't really need a slider balcony). I believe most of these rooms have king beds though.

Thanks for the info! I could not seem to figure out if there were 2 or 4 "wings" with balconies from looking at the pictures.

Do you happen to remember how many floors are in the wings?

I realize that I am thinking about this way too much, but hey this seems to be the place for those compulsive planners like me!

I think the wings are 8 or 9 floors. I believe the fourth floor, and possibly the 5th....all have balconies, the ones above that alternate with balconies every other room. The Dolphin is LARGE and the further you are towards the tip of the far east or far west wing, the longer the walk to the elevators ;)....but for a balcony with a nice view it is well worth the few minutes...but that's JUST MHO....the elevators themselves are very smooth and swift!!!

Would you reccomend the outer wings for best views? How are the end rooms of the inner wings?

Again, I am thinking about this waaaaay too much, but the compulsive planning is half the fun of vacation I say!
