I guess you all will have something like "don't you know?". Apparently not :)
Do I need ADRs for DTD like for RFC or Planet Hollywood, or you can just walk up there and ask for a table?

Sorry to be so clueless :(

I'm not sure about Planet Hollywood. I seem to remember reading that they do not take ADRs during dinner hours, but I'm not sure...maybe someone can confirm???

As for the Rainforest Cafe at DTD, they do accept reservations (their phone number is 407-827-8500). I'm not sure if you need ADRs there, but it probably can't hurt to make them anyway since it is such a busy restaurant.

For Raglan Road and House of Blues, I would say ADRs would be an excellent idea, although we have been able to get into HOB without them for lunch on occasion. Planet Hollywood, I believe, does not accept them except for larger (over 6 folks?) parties. In all cases, ADRs are always good insurance on getting into the restaurant of your choice. If you are visiting at a busy time, they are pretty much mandatory, unless you are extremely flexible.

Now days I make reservations at all restaurants including all the DTD ones. Last time we were there the Rainforest Cafe line was very long. There were reservations only at Wolfgang Puck (we had one, but people were being turned away) and I would just do them to be on the safe side. Raglan Road was busy the night we were there and the rest are popular enough that I wouldn't take a chance.

it is a great idea to have an ADR or reservation at any of the restaurants. we just made one for RFC at DTD last week and were able to secure the time that we wanted. if you know someplace you want to eat, i'd make the ADR and this way if you still want to eat there, you have the ADR but if you change your mind you can always call to cancel.

I'm not sure about the others, as far as Planet Hollywood...I just talked to a CM today trying to change an ADR for a large group at PH.....she couldn't resched for the date I wanted but gave me this tip: If you are staying on Disney property go directly to the VIP booth out front of the restaurant and they will fit you in like you have an adr (she said usually within 15 minutes). She said it is a courtesy by PH to WDW. I'll let you know how well it works as I'll be visiting the booth in Aug!

We just made ADR's for PH for Sept for our family of 4 for a Saturday night. The only time we could get was 9:30. I'm going to try for an earlier time, but I figured what I got was better than no time. I've gone to PH and had a 1 or 2 hour wait before. We just go shop and come back.
