special requests, like having mickey ears made before we get there and put in our room, how far n advance do I do that? and how?

The ears need to be ordered about 5-7 days before you arrive so they have time to embroider them. You can order stuff like this from Vacation Planning by calling (714) 300-PLAN (7526). Also if you are ordering stuff to be delivered to the room talk to these people about your room requests because they will be helping assigning the room before you get there.
