Another Disney Gift Card question

If I return items to a Disney Store or Disney Store outlet and receive a gift card, can I use this merchandise return gift card at Disney? If so, where? World of Disney store in DTD? Any of the stores inside the parks? Any place that would take a normally purchased Disney gift card like restaurants or snack places? Does anyone have any first hand knowledge?

If it is a merchandise gift card, then it can only be used to purchase merchandise. It will be accepted at the stores and gift shops that are owned by Disney. I even used mine to purchase snacks in the gift shop.

If they give you a regular Disney GC, like the ones that you can buy at Target, then it can be used at the restaurants, ticket booths and other venues owned by Disney.

Thanks!! If I can use it in the park stores, that would be great! Or even The World of Disney at DTD. I have a couple of things to return and was hoping I could save the card for our Disney trip to buy souvenirs.
