Ok - I agree with those who said its rude not to RSVP and we always do.... however.

Right now my dd's are invited to several birthday or end of school year parties each. Some of which unfortunately they can't attend.

For the ones we can attend and ask for regrets only, that's fine. Its the others and the ones we need to express regrets I am having a problem with. So far only two people have an answer machine!! I have been trying at various points of the day, one after the other to respond and its starting to take to much time!

/rant warning, if you want a call have a number where you can either be reached or that reaches a machine ~ Thank you.

Thanks

TJ

I agree with you.

It would be nice for the number you list for RSVP's to have an answering machine, especially since they are so common these days.

Even my severely technology-phobic parents, who are in their late 70's, have an answering machine now (although it took about 20 years of encouragement from us for them to get one!!!)

What I hate are the families with answering machines that tell you to press 1 for the dad, 2 for the mom or 3 for the kids. I usually end up calling this particular family twice so I can be sure both parents get the message since they obviously do not communicate with each other.
