Is the discount taken off before or after the tax is added in?

The sales tax is recomputed on the price after the discount is taken.

Don't forget, though, that you should tip at the pre-discount price.

ditto! we usually tip what the discount is and sometimes a little more. most of the time a little more.

I'll still save about $100 this trip on just the food, not including drinks, so the DDE will at least pay for itself, and then I'll have it for next Oct.

I always tip at least 20%, unless the service is horrible, me and DBF usually tip around 30% actually.
