How are they sized? I tried on the athens today & ended up buying 1 size smaller than I normally do. All my shoes are size 10 & always have been but the crocs I got were a 9 (the 10 was way too big). Do they run BIG? :confused3

I think the Athens run large, but not the Beach. I have two pairs of each. My Beaches are 10's and my Athens are 9's!

Well I guess I'll add my crocs question here. I'm looking to buy my first pair of crocs and tried on one size at a local store. They were the small beach ones. But some sites only have Cayman and those are done by an actual size. Any suggestions to how they run and what the difference is?

According to the CROCS web site, the Caymans were designed for in-between-sized people. I wear an 8.5, but the 8 Caymans touched the end of my toes and felt short. I found the Beach Crocs in a Medium to fit perfectly. I have three pairs of the Beaches. They're my favorites.

As for the Athens, I bought the 8s, even though I wear an 8.5. They're a little long (I have a short foot) but my foot went over the sides on the 7s. I think I could probably have purchased either size.

I also just sold my Niles on eBay -- I bought an 8 and they were not wide enough and the straps literally flopped around. I didn't like them at all.

I'd love to try the Schutes from the web site, and the company has a pair of ballet flats and Mary Janes coming out this fall, too.

Crocs also sells straps with velcro for about $10 that you can use to replace straps that are too floppy. I did this with my Caymans, as they were a little large, but I couldn't wear the Beaches since they didn't fit my feet right (one size was way too long, the other too short).

You can switch the velcro straps around and get a two-tone look if you want.

I got the flip flops (not sure what the style is). I usually wear a size 8 and I ended up getting a 6 in the Crocs. I also almost got the regular crocs, but the size 6 was slightly small (someone gave 2 pairs a size 6 and a size 8 to my mom and she couldn't return them)

I just got the Athens in a size 10, thats the same size my other crocs are. Once they molded to my foot they seem a little large. I tried a 9 Athens on last night at a local store and they were a much better fit. I also ordered the Niles and I didnt like the back strap or the way they fit and they are being returned for another pair of Athens! My DD called me a Croc junkie....but only because I wouldnt return my Niles and buy her another pair!
